Send sensitive documents securely
Tax forms, ID scans, signed records, and client documents up to 25 MB
Short answer: OncePad is a free, no-account service for sharing a password, secret, or file through an end-to-end encrypted link. The link contains no decryption key, works once, and expires after 24 hours. Files may be up to 25 MB.
A smaller alternative to an email attachment
OncePad encrypts one document in your browser and gives you a key-less link plus a generated passphrase. The link is redeemed once and expires after 24 hours if unopened, so the original email or chat does not retain the readable document.
What fits
One PDF, scan, image, archive, or other file up to 25 MB: for example a tax form, ID image, signed agreement, insurance record, or client export. OncePad does not compress, preview, scan, sign, or validate the document, and it cannot accept a folder unless you archive it first.
Use the two channels deliberately
Send the link through the expected business channel, then give the passphrase through a different app, text, phone call, or in person. Verify the recipient independently when the document could enable identity theft or financial fraud.
When OncePad is not enough
Use a purpose-built client portal or regulated document system when you need files over 25 MB, multiple recipients, durable access, e-signatures, identity proofing, consent records, retention policies, malware scanning, legal hold, or a compliance audit trail. Encryption alone does not supply those controls.
